Give Your Fitness Routine a Makeover
Are you struggling with exercise after lap band surgery? It may be time for a fitness makeover. When trying to lose weight, many people don’t realize that the same routine may stop being effective or even cause pain or injury. Be aware of your progress and look for signs that it’s time to change up your exercise after lap band surgery to see more effective results:
- You’re not losing weight anymore. If you find that you’re not seeing weight loss, make sure you’re eating right. If you’re still eating a great diet, you may need to change your routine. Talk to a personal trainer or try a new class.
- It hurts when you work out. If you experience pain or fatigue that you didn’t feel before, you may be overworking yourself or giving yourself an injury. Ease up and establish a new routine that works different parts of the body in different ways. Talk to your doctor if you continue to experience pain.
- Your workout is very easy. Sure it feels great to be able to breeze through a workout routine, but is it effective? If you’re not working up a sweat and feeling the burn, you’re not working hard enough. Push yourself and try new exercises.
- You’re not having fun. Working out might not be fun exactly, but it shouldn’t be boring. Boredom is a motivation-killer. If you’re stuck in the same old routine, get into a new space by taking a group fitness class or trying a sport you’ve never done before.
